Packing List

Here are a few things you may want to know that will help you bring what you need without bringing a lot of things that you don’t.

The weather is going to dictate what you wear for the most part. We generally have mild weather ,even in winter , but don’t count on it. Check the forecast right before your trip and pack accordingly. Camouflage is great but not totally necessary. Make sure you have earth tone clothes that are quite. Early season can be really hot. Don’t be afraid to pack shorts. We hunt in a T shirt and shorts a lot when it’s hot.

You should bring comfortable hiking shoes. We are in the sand hills and don’t have a lot of water to deal with.

We do have poisonous snakes but very few. Wear snake boots if it makes you feel better.

Mosquitoes can be a problem in the warmer months. A thermo-cell can be helpful.

Don’t forget your rain gear. Quiet rain gear.
Most of our stands are covered but you have to get to the stand.

Binoculars are a must.

A seat cushion is a good thing.

A minimum of 100 quarts of cooler space per hunter.

Bring fishing gear if you want to try out the pond. Medieum-light tackle will work for everything but the catfish. The catfish are huge! Catch and release only!

Pack a bath towel, wash cloth and blanket. Clean sheets, pillows and pillow cases are provided.

We have a rifle range and suggest you check your zero. Bring targets.

Hunter orange is not required.

We do not supply adult beverages. BYOB

The lodge is only 25 miles from town. If you need something you can get it there.

We do not take checks in camp. Cash and cards are it.

Tipping is at your discretion. We prefer you tip the guides in cash if possible.

A SC hunting license is required for anyone 16 and over. Get it online. Deer hunters need a big game permit and buck tags.
